How To Clean My Engine - What Stuff is Best

I want to clean my engine, what is the best and "Safest" engine cleaners or degreasers out there. Do you guys have any tips, on the best way to safely clean the grease and dirt from my engine.

the best ive found is Gunk brand, but not the normal stuff, its called "Steam Cleaner" or something like that. its a silver can, and says steam in huge black letters. ive only seen it at one store, but it works GREAT.

Someone did a writeup on here about how to completely clean everything, it was real long and real informative, but I dont remember where it was. If you search you probably can find it.
