Welcome to NICO!

Well, first I wouldn't spray a high pressure hose in the engine bay...could damage various wires/sensors. Your best bet is to use simple green, and wipe everything down. Simple green is non-toxic and won't corrode anything.

Make sure and post up pics in the member's ride thread up top, and check out the G35 index for pretty much everything!

Wow thanks for the speedy reply! the reason i asked how to clean is because i need to sell my baby(car) and it kills me to even think about it but since i have baby boy it must be done. I was thinking of posting it here and hope fully i can find someone to take her off my hands and take good care of her. Ill post up some pics today along with all the details.

thanks

I understand how you feel! The G-35 is not just a car. Only car I know that can create such emotions. Take heart and know that we bear this loss of the G with you.

Aside from wiping down what ever you can and perhaps a clean air filter, I would leave well enough alone. Clean the outside and inside of the vehicle. If the next owner wants to do something about the engine bay well thats their problem. No one is going to reject an otherwise clean G just because of the engine bay. Just my $.02

true, or it could mean that somebody REALLY takes good care of their car.

I keep my engine bays clean! Don't like working on a dirty car. I also degrease the bottom from time to time.

I use "CASTROL" SUPER CLEAN CLEANER DEGREASER

Start with a COLD engineI cover my alt. and air intake, hose down the outside of the car with water(hood, fenders, front end....) this is incase of overspray.spray the engine and engine bay with the degreaserLet sit for 5 or ten minutes.Hose off everything gently.....DO NOT USE a hard spray.I dry off as much as I can then, let is sit for a while to dry.
