My 2001 Nissan Frontier 3.3 engine at 67,000 miles, extended warrenty had just expired. I got a coolant moter head leak about 1 1/2 years ago, I decided to do the major repair and have always done all repairs on my Nissan, As I used to be a mechanic some time ago and work for my dads auto repair business, The engine has all been assembled and seems to function like it was new, runs excellent as I already put about 20,000 miles more on my truck, totaling about 87,000 miles ever seens the repair. I just decided to check the timing for my own peace of mind, even though truck runs great. The engine knocks a little when accelerating, not all the time, but as what the trucks manuals says, it seems to be a normal issue on this models of engines.

My question is, does anyone know the procedure on checking the timing on the 3.3 engine. I have the timing light and tools to do this, I just don't know on what mark the timing should be. Its got a yellow mark (TBC), and about 3-4 white marks for timing the engine.
