I am not sure if I am doing this right, because I have heard different information. The info section here says that I should drive the car for 10 minutes after the transmission reaches normal operating temperature? How do I know that? Does it mean normal coolant temperature? And does normal operating temperature just mean anywhere between C and H, or does it mean half way between C and H?

And if I drive for longer than 10 minutes AFTER reaching operating temperature, does that mean I will get a overfill reading?

Please help. Thanks

You're overthinking it. Ignore the temp gauges. Driving the car for 10 minutes will raise the ATF to the necessary operating temperature. There's no point driving any longer as it's reached the temp needed to check the fluid. You will not get an overfill reading if you drive longer, you'll just be wasting time and gas.

This is one of the things you could check the next time you're gassing up your vehicle. Takes less time to check than filling your tank.
