Is there a way to cross something to read the codes and clear them? Before the snow fell, the Nissan Dealer scanned it for me and it said "leaking injectors"I had them all cleaned and tested. One failed.Replaced the injectors, fuel filter (again) added Seafoam and other injector cleaners, still runs off target and shows a code being stored.Dealership said that they only scan it for free... once!!!Now they want $90.00 to do it! Please help.

The FSM tells non Consult users how to read the flashes. Quite a few posts here also.

I have searched and searched.Tried all three methods that I found involving pumping fuel pedal waiting depressing Etc.Disconnected the battery for a month, 24 hours, a week, etc.It is a '92 with the rectangular plug for the scan tool.I have an OBDII tool and it would require some kind of adapter. Is one available anywhere?

Thanks for your help.

1990-1995 Q45 is OBD1

What cleaner was used on the injectors?

Was the oil change there after?

Did you replace all or one injector?

Is the injector(s) new or used?

See this link here to pull and erase ECU codes: http://www.nicoclub.com/archiv....html

None of the above will work on a 1990-1995 Q45 As far as I know

This phillips head screw?

I unplugged both this and the computer on the passenger side for an hour yesterday to no avail either.

That's the transmission computer (TCU). Go back to the engine computer on the passenger side and look for the screw on the back side with the instruction placard next to it.

Here's a good link for pulling codes:

zerothread?id=60332

The ECU needs to be unplugged to remove it from its mounting location and then plugged back in while laying on the floorboard to read the codes.

If you've replaced all the injectors the injector leak code 45 could mean you've got a leaky lower oring in one of the injectors sending excess fuel past the O2 sensors. How's your gas mileage since the injector replacement?

It could also be something like a dirty MAF, CAS, or TPS sensor connector. It's guaranteed your Reno weather will cause corrosion inside these connectors. Clean and tighten the pins in the connectors and the components and lube with dielectric grease. All 3 should fit tight with little up and down movement when connected.

Yes I am an advocate of dielectric grease. I coated all contacts when I put it all back together. And yes, the mileage still is miserable. But, it runs like crap right now.

Page EC-51 has the instructions for pulling codes.

http://www.nicoclub.com/FSM/Q45/1994_Q45/

If you haven't ever pulled the ECU out you're going to have to remove the glove box to get to the upper mounting screws. When the ECU is put back in leave the upper mounting screws out to save having to remove the glove box the next time. If you can, leave the ECU plugged in on the floorboard for a few days until you understand the problem. It will make pulling codes much quicker and easier.

Even a light perusal of the FSM will prepare the owner for many yet to be seen problems, or even help to understand how to eliminate them through a little preventative maintenance.
