How to change the headlight bulbs (S14 zenki)?

The fsm doesn't go into detail on this and because of this I managed to break the retainer clip on the right side. Do you pull the pull out or do you turn it clockwise or should you take the dust boot of first?

EDIT - Found it. CLick the link in my sig that points to de-yellowing the headlights. I posted pictures that show how to remove the bulbs.

You don't have to take the headlights off but since you broke the retainer, you may want to.

I did the same thing the first time I tried to change the lights and broke the retainer on the driver side.

Soz if i'm bringing back a dead thread, but i have no clue as to how to take it out. The little tab that has the screw on it gets stuck on a little pillar which prevents me from removing the little ball bearing thing. a**

Its really easy. The retainer is a pain in the a** to get off but its not impossible.

jeebus christmas. unscrew the cover on the back, unplug the harness from the bulb. pull off the rubber boot. there are 2 metal tabs on each side of the bulb, push in (towards the front of the car), then push towards the bulb. once you do both sides the bulb will pull right out. reverse for installation.
