How to change the AC belt??

Hey all,

I see how to change the alternator and power steering belts. However, I can't see how to change the AC compressor belt on my 89 240SX.

Any tips?? Is it fairly easy??

I don't have my 240 handy to look at right now or I'd explain it for you. Exactly what problem are you running into?

Wow, this site is A LOT better than the other Nissan sites. Getting help from the other site is pretty much non-existant. NICO!!

Anyway, how do I loosen the belt that goes around the crank and AC compressor?? I see the bolts needed to be tightened for the alternator belt and PS belt. I don't see the same kind of mechanism for the AC compressor.

from the bottom, you'll see a tensioner pully, undo the nut holding the pulley (parallel to the ground) and loosen the tensioner bolt (perpindicular to the pulley) to loosen the ac belt
