On elast subject for you guys. I've seen this done plenty of times but have never done it myself. Also, it's been a while since I've actually done anything to my car myself.How exactly do you change change out the spark plugs? I'm going to be taking off the the valve cover to clean it so I figured I'd change ou the plugs and wires. Thanks.

1. Pull on the spark plug until it comes off.2. Using a spark plug socket and an extension (it has a rubber insert inside so it grabs on the the spark plug when you pull on it) unscrew the spark plug out of its place3. Check the gap of your new SP and make sure its with in specs.4. Torque it down properly

NGK's have always served me well. but yeah its pretty simple, just pull the spark plug wires out(might take some wiggling) unscrew it, sparkplugs are 5/8's btw NOT 3/4. then start the new ones in without the ratchet, just socket and extension then tighten them down with the ratchet. put the plug wires back on and boom your done. so much easier than these damn hyundai's, you have to take the freakin inatake manifold off to replace the back plugs and wires on some of the v6's

yeah working on hyundai's sucks, they also decided to put the oil filter about an inch away from the exhaust manifolds on every single engine they make so when you have to change the oil on a warmed up one you burn the piss out of your hand I HATE HYUNDAI

3000GT you need to take off the Intake Manifold to change 3 of the 6 sparkplugs ^^;;

Yeah, changing the Sparkplugs on the KA is quite easy u.u; I never did it on my RB, but on my SR I put racing sparkplugs in, thats just the name for 'more expensive' :p And the danm thing started knocking on cold days when I started it up. I was also using crappy American gas, once I switched back to Japan's (high octain) gas that went away ^^;;;

And another tip:

Don't forget to put antisieze on the threads of the sparkplugs. You should buy that when you get your new spark plugs.

And on a side note, when you take your valve cover off, make sure that when you're putting it back on, tighten the bolts in the right order. The fsm will tell you how.
