i thought about that also but that will raise the car how ever i dont think it will actually raise the spring because i need clearance between the spring and the tire....what do you thinkpeter_rabbit wrote:Actually there are knuckles that you can put in between your springs that would raise it about an inch. You would install thlem with a 4 way lug wrench. The only problem with those is that sometime you'll get a bouncy feel going over bumps and afte awhile, they will start to squeak. You should be able to find them at any local Autoparts store.
thats cool i like how you did that but i think the spring is still going to hang over the tire ..or will it give me more space between the tire and the spring...because the spring hangs over the tire and i need the bottom of the spring to raise....let me know what you think07sportm35 wrote:You'd be better of with coil spacers all the way around. That way it won't effect ride quality.
They can be had for $10 a pair. You remove the springs and place the spacers underneath them.
The rears would be super easy to do. Use tie-wraps to secure them to the spring.

Other way to do this is to get some coilovers from Japan and adjust as needed.
realy now how about some high performance struts that come with smaller springs...and ther has to be a way cheaper than 2k...what do you think...but you seem what im saying right..i want more clearance from the tire and the spring that comes down right on top of the tire...But honestly, you are going to be spending a minimum $2000 to make this happen whichever way you do it.

Coilovers for the y33 run from $2400 and up(highperformance struts with smaller springs). I had a y33 and had coilovers, and a loooot of other suspension work. I am trying to tell you that what you want to do will cost you ALOT!! It sucks, you can thank Nissan for their amazing front strut design...
