There is probably better info on this hybrid on skylinesaustralia.com. I know there was a thread on this a few months back, but I would check on SAU first.

You can also use 4agze pistons with a bore to the wristpins ... plus they are already forged and heat coated.

That's interesting, do you mean stock 4agze pistons? Isnt it dangerous to bore the wrist pin? Wouldn't it affect the hardness and etc. of the piston?

I believe the modification to the pistons is nothing too in depth, and any experienced engine builder would be able to pull it off.

4agze pistons are NOT forged, however they are definately strong. MR2 guys claim 300whp on stock pistons is not uncommon. The only issue I found with this stroker setup is that other than tomei (who might have discontinued it) no one sells a 81.5mm bore headgasket.

Using the rb26 rods and crank with 81.5mm pistons gives you very slightly under a 2.4L. I was planning on using rb25 rods and crank, with 4agze pistons, which would yield around 2.3L.

I wanted to do this stroker pretty badly, but it is pretty damn in depth, and I didnt want to sit around and wait for parts, wait for the machine shop, wait for everything.... I want to drive my car. I think thats the final determining factor with the stroker, and why no one ends up doing it.

Lol, I have a crank out of a NEO as well.. Wish I had the time and patience for the stroker.

Trust me ... they are forged ... only difference is compression between AE92/AE101

Here is what stock 4agze pistons can do ... this is not secret amongst toyota community.

Everyone uses those pistons in their builds ...

Toyota over engineered those pistons ... Those pistons are gold on the forums ... LOL ... I have 12 of those jokers ... LOL

We have never had a problem boosting on them ... that is why I have no problem using them. It made my build really easy ... and cut a big cost out of my pocket.
