ok guysmy waterpump leaked coolant through the weep hole so i changed it..i also changed my thermostat today.now i need to full my radiator and bleed the system

Well as i mentioned my bleeder screw thats on top the intake manifold broke from previous owner. So i raised my car up front and filled the radiator with water(flushin before i use coolant). i left the cap off and started the car and i turned on my ac to fulll blast and on HOT and let the car warm up to normal temp. The air blow cold through my vents on HOT? and i rarely see bubbles comin from the radiator untill it gets hot.. when i rev it, bubbles and water gush out the rad?? help would be appreciated thx

You shoulda left the vents closed. Squeeze the radiator hoses on the uphill till they stop, if u can try to fix the air relief screw so u can squeeze the hoses when the cap is on so it is under pressure.

try shaking the hell out of the car, just pushing on it. or try putting the radiator cap on loose and druve around stopping and going alot to get it to burp

Just park on a hill where the rad is uphill from the engine and take of the rad cap. turn on the heat full blast.

i have the same problem, just raise the car up in the front untill your radiator cap is the highest point in the cooling system, put it on jack stands start the car let it warm up rev it to 2k and keep it there for 10-15 mins to make sure the thermostat opens.

thx to allcan anyone tell me y my ac is blowing cold though and not hot??my car is on jack stands at the moment (front raised)tomorow i am goin to try againbut i justt need opinions.... to bboyp1ng my air relief is screw in and the top broke off so thats closed off.

everyone has good points but a bit confusing, i need a little more detail.. like, i raise car, fill radiator, start, CAP ON OR OFF?, i put heat on full blast, and rev a little?then top off?, when i rev the tank overflows and spit out water , i'm thinkin that is good as it is burpin?

the thing that confuses me is the ac blowin cold .... that makes me think somethings wrong?

Go buy this "spill-free" funnel....It will save you ton of problems...Fill up system, start up vehicle and turn on heat. You can do all of this on the ground....Let run until both radiator hoses are equally about 195 degrees....I am pasting a link but you can buy this funnel locally or any tool dealer...Jump on a truck and buy one....It should be around $20

air is blowing cold bc u opened up the vents before u blead it and now u got air into the heater core also, next time leave it closed. Water spitting out is good (burping). I would suggest u get the bleeder valve fixed by wedging it and breaking the screw so u can take it out. Leave radiator cap off the whole time, since u dont have a bleeder valve and so u can tell if the burping has stopped.

I suggest getting an FSM!

ok guysi tried it today and i think its bled.....i warmed it up a while left it on 0 fan and HOt on the acraised front started( this time with coolant) so i squeezed the hoses as much as i could to try to get the air out, rocked the car up and down etc. didnt see much bubbles really as i think as i filled it the air was pushed out easily?then when the engine was on normal temp for a while i reved a few times and i see the coolant movin quickly from left to right... like foam in a way little tiny bubbles moving.. topped up and i ran it for 15 mins and its seems its holding the temp at right below the middle mark... so i hope it lasts, havent driven for long periods yet...THANK YOU all for your help...

hey portion, ive got the same problem, my bleeder bolt broke off by the previous owner also, now when im trying to run it, bleeding the system i think air can still be getting in through the broke bolt as coolant is coming out but only in small quatities from the bolt whole even though it has stapped off in it, did this happen to you, if it did, did u seal the hole with something or just left it, let me knw, thks Sunjay

I would recommend to wedge the screw so it doesn't spin when u drill it so u can crack the screw and remove it and replace. A ghetto way would be to seal it, but i wouldn't recommend it.

For portion u should be good cuz even if u did run it for a short amount that's all it takes for the radiator to overheat if it has air in it.I think u mistaken me but for some reason it still worked. Next time put the heater on FULL BLAST HOT with the knob at FULL BLAST (what u would do when its super cold).

But u shouldn't need to do this next time cuz u shouldn't even mess with it! I don't kno why the FSM tells us to do this stuff when its not really needed, or is it...

yea some how i think it worked ??/my ac still blows cold on hott but my car stays right below the middle.i drove with the ac on and ran it hard a little and it the needle didnt budge.i guess its night too, soo tomorrow i would run it at noon.

to LDN D.K.my screw is snugly in , so no leaks.i havent changed it as yet. i'm gona take a trip to a junkyard to see wat stuff i can get.

by chance anyone knows y my ac still blows cold on hot? not like i care to use the heater as i am in florida

^^u have air in ito bro... u have to bleed it out. Put it on FULL BLAST HOT, FULL BLAST on the knob (like u would when its super cold) and bleed car like u normally would.

And by the way if u have it on AC HOT it should be somewhat cold cuz ur using the airconditioning, LOL.

LET IT RUN WITH THE RADIATOR CAP OFF AND THE HEAT SET ON HIGH AND IT WILL BURP IT SELF.. JUST ADD COOLANT AS THE AIR COMES OUT. IT TAKES LESS THAN AN HOUR .ONCE THE COOLANT LEVEL HAS STABLIZED REPLACE THE CAP AND UR DONE
