Admin: feel free to post this in other Discussion forums to inform our members about beating traffic tickets before they happen. I had some ppl ask me about the product "photo blocker" so I am going to post these videos for you guy's. I know some of our forum readers also ride motorcycles, this M27 illustration can really help you out on your motorcycle ride. I have one installed on my sport bike with a Valentine V-1 radar detector and works great! I also incuded a video about how to avoid police traffic stops and harasment, and how to deal with the police! I Hope this helps someone. Feel free to give your feedback. Thanks. :rotflmao

MythBusters already looked at a lot of the plate covers and sprays and they simply didn't work:

Some of the jammers have mixed results, here's a test that's a few years old...

Cool post! I like the radar detector section.. my v1 did not fair as well as the 9500 however for the times my v1 was activated, I had plenty of time to slow down. I will always choose the V1 directional arrows over the escort 9500 any day!!

Just live where there is a lot of snow and then freeze snow onto your license plate :)

V1 has always been too chatty for me and too 80's looking. I'm quite content with my 9500 and 8500 but there are times when I'd like to know where the guy is coming from.

Only works for a few months ;)

Put cardboard on it with "lost plate" stay that way until you are eventually pulled over

Naw guys, you're thinking about it all the wrong way.

The problem isn't with the plate, it's with the driver.

Just wear a Halloween mask and when they mail you the picture and the ticket, claim it wasn't you! :rotfl
(or wear a cardboard cutout of some "frenemy")

Currently rocking the caked on snow myself

Im aware that its the drver. These are tips to keep you out of a expensive situation. Guilty or not. A bad driver can be very smart if he uses these tacticts.

Thus far I haven't seen anything worthwhile.

While I haven't driven with the new escorts, I did have an 'esky' and a passport. Probably over 300K miles between them. With my V1 I'm over 500K miles, and highly prefer the arrows to all others. I leave mine on full L...I think they call it advanced Logic...so it minimizes false alarms. If you haven't tried that mode.... you should.

Another thought...always keep the bird dog as high as possible, preferably on the passenger visor.... and hide the power cord.

As for tickets...lol...There's an old saying. A cop could find a brand new car in the middle of the desert and write it up for three 'good' tickets!

Hahah very good advice.

Yes I use advance logic and I turn off K band. Only KA band is used in my town of Joplin Missouri 64801 as well as the surrounding towns. KA is pretty popular now a days. I will get some minor interferience with k band causing my wireless motorcycle display inside my helmet to light up unnecissary from time to time on my sport bike. So I just leave it on advance logic with KA band on. Ive picked KA signals up 1.5 miles on my sport bike with my V1 and the radar is mounted inside my left air duct on my Suzuki GSXR 1000 so nobody can steal it or so I dont have to remove it all the time. Works great!

I love my Valentine V1!

I travel multiple states so I just leave it in advanced mode. Hell, I picked up a cop using X a couple years ago (sitting in the middle of the freeway over a hill). Got slammed with laser the other night but was doing less than 10 over so he left me alone.

I didnt think law enforcement used X band or K band anymore. Maybe small rural areas? Laser is not popular in my area, mostly KA band.

I rarely get X anything and would disable it other than running across Barney with the X zapping people. We get primarily KA and laser here but there is some K as well.
