I got my 240sx about a year ago. Now I need an engine swap because I need a timing chain replaced and that would cost me $1000 so why not swap it w/an s14 now. I live in Long Beach so Southern California area. I was just wondering where to do my swap anyone? how much should I expect to pay. I looked around and saw 5000, thats the engine w/labor and new transmission. So Please please please help me out.

McKinney Motorsports is on of the sponsors and in So cal look them up, they did a RB26 swap into an S14, so I am sure they can handle a KADE swap into your car.

not everybody wants an SR. maybe he wants to keep it street legal. me personally I am gonna get about 450 hp out of my ka when I am done, wont be legal by any means, i just wanna prove that the ka is by no means an inferior engine to the sr

yeah sr sorry about that. but i was talking to a mechanic friend of mine, he said that I should do my suspension first. I think I might do that. Im gonna keep it all nismo too since my mom works at nismo parts headquarters at nissan. I get everything at wholesale. Like the r-tune coilover adjustable saves me money. Insted of paying 15-$1700 I get it for $1100. But I don't know I really want to get my engine done. I don't know such confusion.

i would recommend phase2motortrend or garageworks for the engine swap. phase2 is in industry and garageworks is in palmdale.
