Hey guys,

I REEEALLY love the stock "wooooooowooooooooooooooooooo" exhaust note of the stock VQ engine, and am looking for an easy way to amplify this sound.

Without selling my left kidney.

Any suggestions / ideas would be welcome. Thanks guys in advance!

How about a Kinetix highflow cat?

I don't want to go through a whole new set of catback, since that would alter the original VQ sound.

I second the high flow cats. Thats the cheapest way without buying a new exhaust.

The nismo exhaust does a good job of amplifying that note, IMO.

Agreed. I've listened to countless exhaust recordings on youtube and prefer the NISMO S-tune above the others.

One potential consequence of amplifying the stock exhaust note is that there may be other changes that could make the exhaust note less pleasing.

High flow cats are your best bet. A straight/race pipe will be cheaper and give you a louder exhaust, but like was mentioned - expect some rasp.

You should also be prepared for some extra attention from the boys in blue.
