ok guys sunday im going to finish this ****** wether she likes it or not ... the idle it too high running around 1300 or so, only after warm up. when i go to first start her and let her warm up, and circulate before driving her. itll idle at 750-850 perfection!! the idle screw has no affect on the idle maybe 100rpm but nothing... i read the FSM but it tells rather little.. the tps is prob out of adjustment seeing as i just moved it around till i lowerd the idle by a 100 rpm.. how do i adjust that?? my timming is set around 20 advanced could this keep my idle higher?? also i disconnecte the air regulator that is used to bypass the AC compressor, i think thats what it does... its on the front of the motor with two pipes on top one has a hose thats goin back to the intak mani and the other has a sensor on it ... thats bypassed as of the other day....

what could cause my high idle and how do i correctly fix it!!!

what all has to do with the idle???could it be a bad AAC or whats the other vavle thats on the AAC assembly the FICD or somthing, it points towrds the turbo side could that be bad and affect idle??the tps be bad or out of wack and affect the idle?or could it just be they cursed my motor before shipping it, so now im doomed to bad luck with any vehicled i touch???

somone please help me!!! Mad do you have aim or anything that way i can be talked through this, anyone boost boy .. help im desprate i dont have a car to drive... my KA is burnt for now till i figure that problemn out , damn cars!!!!

im going to really drive these off cliffs soon if they dont fix themselves ....Jon

please please please help me

U disconnected the air regulator? This could be the cause of your problem, it has nothing to do with A/C, it's more for controlling idle air. Check the FSM page EF-EC 12.

your right either way the idle acts the same way wether or not i bypassed it or not ... i think the AAC is bad.... time to go buy another one! any way how do i adjust the TPS i kinda get the FSM but im not very electricaly incline anything with a voltmeter intimidates me since ive never been shown how to do this in person!

As far as i know u can only measure (with a voltmeter) if the TPS acts right, i don't know anything about adjusting it (are u sure u can adjust it?).

BTW using a voltmeter is easy (u don't have to be an electrician), just set the selector(switch) to the range u need (the FSM always tells u what u need: ohm, volt etc.) and simply put the probes to the measuring points (the FSM tells also) and thats it.

Then it's probabally bad and thats why your having idle problems and it won't rev. The computers probabally in safe mode. When you hooked it up did you unplug the harness? Was the voltmeter set on ohms? Did you keep it hooked up and then move the throttle? I don't think the computer bases it on a resistance value. I think it just bases it on a CHANGE in resistance values. And if it does turn out bad, don't just go buy a new one. All a TPS is is a potentiometer. Go to radioshack and buy some potentiometer cleaner and try spraying it inside of it if you can and then turning it back and forth a few times. Let us know how it turns out.
