I am still trying to find a good deal on a set of OEM xenon headlights but until then I put in a HID kit (4300k). I have had them in almost a month and no problems. Well last night my wife drove my car (I was not with her) and she said on her way home she got behind a guy in a full size chevy pickup on a two lane road and he started driving strange.

He would turn on his hazzard lights, slow down, then speed up, and then finally he pulled over to the side and my wife passed. When she did he flew up behind her and cut on his bright lights and honking his horn. My wife stayed calm and when she got to the next intersection she waited to pull out so he could not get directly behind her and he went on about his business. But she said she is not driving my car again until I get rid of the HID kit.

I know how my wife drives and she stays off people so I know that was not it and she said she never even turned on her bright lights. I have never had anybody even flash their lights at me since I have had them, but this berzerk redneck obviously is sensitive to light. So with that being said is the part I have circled the piece that will allow me to adjust the headlight so I can bring them down some?

You summed it up exactly: I am sure he likes to blind other people but don't like to see other people on HIS road.Congrats on your wife on her calm and patience in front of this jerk.

You are right about the lever to lower your headlights, you have to turn it clockwise or counterclockwise to move the height up and down. You can do that with a screwdriver in the dents if you cannot reach the rear with a ratchet. No need to turn a lot.For me, it is easier to adjust the height at night against a wall with the lights on. You will easily see by how much you lower the light. Don't forget to do both and put them at the same height. Also, what you can do to see if they are at the right height is to park behind another car, about 3-5 ft (like if you were waiting at a red light). The limit of your lights should be at about the top part of the license plate of the car in front.

Fantastic, thank you very much. I figured that was it, but I always like to be sure.

Harryg, you are mistaken height and cut off (no the good wording, sorry).

The cut off is like that __/---, so yes, left side is lower than right side.

But that is for EACH headlight: left headlight is like that and right headlight is like that. It is like that not to blind incoming cars but still able to see further if there is a pedestrian (on the walkway on the right of the road) wanting to cross the street.

For aiming the headlights, both low (left) part of the light should be at the same height, and therefore both higher (right) part of the light will be at the same height. At the end, and at greater distance, you should only see one __/--- cut off.
