How to adjust e-brake tension on a spec v?

A great resource for Nissan Sentra, Infiniti G20, 200sx, Pulsar, NX1600, NX2000, Tsuru, Primera and Sunny owners.

I have an 02 spec v that has absolutely no tension on the e-brake cable. The cable is not broken i just need to know how to adjust it. Thanks!

You have to remove the center console to reach the adjustment.

no need to remove center console i just did mine. take a 10mm deep well socket on a 6" extension. spread the rubber flaps around the ebrake, the nut that you see in there adjusts it. get the socket on and let the ebrake down fully. tighten the nut, move handle up a click, and repeat until the handle is hard to pull. should be tight to pull after 6-8 clicks.
