I don't know how to check my transmission fluid. I don't know how to add transmission fluid to the transmission.Someone mentioned that one must unscrew the shifter, and pour the fluid in a hole. Help.

yep....that's what i did....it's just 4 bolts holding a round metal plate down and a snap ring holding the shifter in place

how can you tell if the fluid is low. Does a 240 have some kind of dip stick.how can I avoid overfilling the transmission.

Hello noob!!

please use the search button on the upper and right side of screen. You will find that i did a FULL write up on how to change your transmission fluid. just search for "transmission fluid"

also search for FSM, service manual and read it. to check it though, you open the side bolt and check it wit your fingers. just see the manual.
