I would like to add an amp to my system and not use the factory sub/ and amp. But I can't figure out how to get the dash cover off to access the radio. anybody know how to do this?

No need to remove the dash. The Bose amp is under the rear parcel shelf. The best way to add the amp is to tap signal off of the rear speakers and use a line-level adapter with the new amp. It's expensive and difficult so good luck.

What are you wanting to do? Options range dependant on a full speaker replacement or simply upgrading the sub.

I would like to add my old factory amp and sub box with two 10's , and the only speaker in the rear is the factory sub, so it's hard to get a signal from that i guess.

If your amp handles speaker-level inputs, then you can simply disconnect the factory sub and redirect that into your inputs (realize this configuration would already have a filtered output). If not, you will need a hi-lo converter (line level converter) and tap off the sub or the rear speakers.

Alternatively, you can use a converter like the PAC AOEM-nis2 (with OEM-1) bundle. This will install at the back of the radio and will give you 2 pairs of RCA outputs and a amp-remote line.
