Hey guys lately i started rebuilding my ka24de and I dropped the head off at a shop to get it pressure tested and the machinist said that the cooling passages were messed up. So he had them welded and then when he was resurfacing the head, his machine went a little deeper into the head . But he said he was .005 under the limit. So how thick of a head gasket do i need??? I tried calling the shop back but he's on vacation  .

89mm is stock.

Edit: Is your motor bored over? If so, you might want 90mm depend how much it is bored.

The bore is still 89mm. I was just wondering would the HG need to be thicker then stock since the machinist took off a little too much material???

You can order them to thicker specs. Add the mill removed to stock thickness and be done.
