I don't think there is a way to unlock while driving. That and the memory seat thing are just safety features. I always just have to pull over on the side of the road to plug in the address of where I'm going.

there is software that you can install that lets you bypass the "ok" screen at the beginning and lets you use NAV while you drive (and all the other features)...I just have no clue how to do it...search the other forums if you can't find it on here...

I will be shocked if you can find a production vehicle with a factory system that allows you to make selections while driving. My brothers IS-350 has the exact same disabling system when the vehicle is moving.

It is a safety feature to force you to pull over and pay full attention to the navigation OR to keep driving.

I prefer it this way.

I am sure you can bypass it but before you do, please send me your vehicle description so I can wilfully avoid you when driving :D

bmw, audi's allow you to make changes....thats why there are steering wheel controls and the screen is almost eye level....you can glance at the screen without losing focus of the road....only an idiot would find it something hard to do

You can still make adjustments. You are just not able to input data or anything that would deviate from normal driving.

I will have to check my friends Audi to see if he is allowed to make changes when the car is in motion.

You can do it but cutting some wires behind the glove box and installing a SPST switch somewhere in your vehicle. You cut the wires that sends the signal that vehicle is in motion. To do the DVD hack, you must also cut the parking brake wire as the "in motion" wire.

Do a search and on the other popular forum and you will find the write up.

Currently no one has bothered hacking the seat memory override that I know. Is it not set to your key so that it moves in the correct position when you get in the car?
