First, try making an effort to spell words correctly so you don't sound like a 5 yr. old. Second, why are you pulling the whole engine if all you need to do is remove the cylinder head?

i would just pull the whole thing out.. engine and transmission.. alot easier to move around.. less things to worry about if its out.. put it on jacks.. unbolt the transmission mounts..

What we did you pull mine is set the rear end up a bit higher than the front of the car on jacks and removed the motor. It made it easier because the transmission didnt have to be pushed down as much to clear cause the clant of the car automaticly made clearance.

Just make sure you have 4 good jack stands, solid ground, and good mounting points out of the way of anything beign pulled.

Why are you pulling the whole motor out if you just want to check the head for damage? Save yourself the time and effort and just get the head off. If you still want to pull the motor out, get your hands on an engine crane and just lift the whole engine and transmission out together as one piece.

Make sure you check for anything that might still be connected. Everytime that I pull stupid motors out I always seem to forget about a ground wire or something else. If you start lifting the motor and it seems stuck, stop and check to see what is holding it up.

Pulling the head with the motor still in the car isn't exactly fun. Plus I would suggest pulling the motor to double check the bottom end. Corey had a post where his motor quit on him and it sounds like the crank seized up on him. If that's the case, I hope that the crank journals can be machined into use again. Otherwise, you may be looking at a total replacement. From the sounds of the other thread, the crank will probably be scrap.
