I got some custom brake rotor to fit my 300zx 26mm calipers , the problem I'm still having is the clearance between caliper to the rims, so i am considering some spacer and longer stud. needed 5/16 spacer( It just about the right size) ,but I just dont' feel safe because I heard alot of ppl's said it's not good for ur axle and spindle..... so for who those got the spacer on for long time, Did u experience any problem and did it cause to break something? is it safe on the high way?

Spacers will rarely cause a shear of the studs. There's a difference between brand and quality of spacers, but the short answer to your question is Yes and No.

Spacers are bad idea. Search the Tire/Wheel forum, using keyword "Spacers" and read Chet's manifesto.

Spacers car probably be used on the car without incident, although a spacer if kind of a band aid fix to a poor wheel fitment issue.

For proper thread engagement, you NEED to follow the rule:"wheel stud engagement distance(with lug nut) must be equal to or greater than stud thickness."
