I'm not new to NICO but i've only been reading this fourm for a few weeks now and already i'm sick of the newbies asking which turbo to get! Obviously there's no one turbo to get, it depends on your goals and budget. Also there's no need to explain A/R's and trims as this info is all over the net, just use google.

So perhaps if everyone posted some info on what turbo they have maybe some of the newbs will get a understanding of what range of turbos to look at.

Keep it simple, and try to answer these questions with regards your turbo...

1. What turbo do you have? (ie. T3/T04, 3037s, etc)2. What's the A/R and Trim?3. Where did you get it and for how much?4. Interal or external wastegate?5. What PSI are you running? (if it varies, state your max)6. Have you dyno'd it? If so, what were your numbers?7. At what rpm does it reach full boost?8. And finally, what's your opinion of it? Do you recomend it?

I realize some of these things like dyno numbers and when it reaches full boost can be affected by the supporting mods but i wanna keep this about turbos only. I too am trying to decide on which turbo to get, but i believe this is a much more effective way to narrow down my choices and no doubt many will benifit from it!

Here's a useful thread:

1.) T3 Super 60 B, essentially a T3 60-Trim2.) .48 A/R turbine, .60 a/r compressor; 60 trim3.) Ebay, $300 brand spankin' new4.) internal wastegate5.) 10 psi max, rarely there for more than 2k rpm though6.) NO, perhaps in late march7.) That's the best thing about it; reaches full boost pretty quickly, definitely under 3k, not sure the exact rpm, probably around 2750, varies per gear/how you modulate the throttle, obviously8.) I know the downfall of the turbo is the compressor wheel; it can't flow that much. I wish it had a bigger compressor wheel. I may do a T4 upgrade in the future, but currently I have some pretty crappy boost-dropoff issues past 5k rpms, possibly due to the boost controller, but I'm sure a larger compressor wheel would help. I'd recommend a T3/T4 if possible, but I'm fairly satisfied with mine, it's very responsive for a daily driver.

1) T3/T4 SC-542) AR .63, 60 Trim3) $775 from Percison Turbo Engineering (I work for a shop and we distribute PTE turbos4) External Wastegate5) 12psi 6) This spring7)36008) This is a great turbo for the 2.4L, I almost think it is two small and will be going bigger soon. A 56 Trim will be the next turbo. But it is a great quick spooling street turbo that looks mean under the hood.
