I haven't really done anything to her yet at all, i got some free eibach springs with kyb struts off of my brothers old coupe. Other than that and the intake it is a completely stock 92 hatch se. It doesn't have HICAS or vlsd, which is cool, because i would have to kill HICAS and vlsd at 235,000 miles won't do much. I am planning on doing an sr20 swap soon, it's very cliche, but i don't have money for a vq which would be my first choice. I already started a collection of parts i'll be swapping with it. I got hoses, belts, fmic, bov, fuel pump, intake, boost controller, electric fan w/adj. thermostat, gauge pod w/megan boost and oil pres. gauge, and filters/plugs. All i have left is an aluminum radiator, some engine/trans mounts, and some exhaust. Then the sr20 itself of course, which i'll probably get from JSA. I also already have some staggered p45r's, 17x9+12 front 17x9.5+12 rear, and a kaaz 2 way lsd, and an exedy clutch. Drilled/slotted rotors+ceramic pads are in the mail, and the last thing i'll buy before i start the swap is some stance gr+ pro's and some suspension arms. Heres some pics of her right now though, those are just dreams so far, but they will be reality soon. Let me know what you guys think, keep in mind she has 235,000 miles. Oh yeah, i know naming cars is silly but she makes me call her Selene.

This is a good 'before' shot of the stance, which will change dramatically soon.

Eh? Eh? Well, regardless of what gets said about her, i love her lots =) She is my second car, first was a 91 Infiniti M30.

This is some of my collection: (Cant wait for that motor)mmm Heh my already small room is getting quite filled with boxes, looking like a parts room. I pay my mother 250 a month for this room haha.

Thanks for looking ill make a build thread or update this one once i get my motor and get my parts in, and paint her. Plan is a gloss white with black roof and black xenon lip, along with a carbon fiber hood, and some kouki tails. That'll probably be it. -TroubleBound

That engine looks really clean for 235,000 miles. Really nice list of parts you have, it's going to look great when it's done. Where did you get the wheels? Those are the wheels I'm going to get next in the same offsets, however 17x9 all around. Can't wait to see the finished product.

Wow, clean hatch! A very nice (and expensive) set of parts you've got sitting there as well.

I would ditch the megan gauges though. I hear they're nothing but garbage.

Got them from urbanimport.com, one of the few places i found the +12's everyone else had the +30's. They're in Durham NC shipped them to me in like 22 hours it was crazy.

:\ That sucks, i didn't know if i should go with a higher quality brand with something as important as gauges, but i'll look into it now i hadn't heard anything about them. I was just enticed by the led's they look cool, is that part of the reason why they fail?

Yeah the guy that had the car before me worked at the Nissan dealership across the street, (i work in detail at Saturn) so he had the mechanics there take care of him i suppose. (He was a salesman) It runs very well most of the time heh, it will spin wheels (oops i mean wheel, until i get that lsd in) and do some donuts and get me to work no problem, i drive her daily and probably more than i should because i like driving it so much. When i get her on the highway though and do like 80-85 she'll start misfiring and taking more and more gas pedal to maintain the same speed, and then misfire (the car shakes violently at idle and rpms bounce up and down) for the rest of the trip (sometimes rest of the day) but be back to normal if i drive her normally and respectfully. So i avoid that by putting on cruise control at like 68mph when i get on highway until i get where im going. She runs good all day that way.

Meh, there are mixed reviews on them, but most will say to look somewhere else. If you're like most of us and like the pretty lights and are on a budget, try looking into Prosport or Stri. Quality seems to be a bit better from reviews but since it's still honestly "cheeply" made, it can still be hit or miss. I'll probably end up going with the Prosport myself.

But if you're more concerned with function over form, Autometers can be had for for about the same price. VDO is also something to look into but you'd have to be really boring get those lol. Both of those you shouldn't have a deal with quality though.

If you want pretty lights and quality, the higher end Autometers have some good stuff. But most will tell you to look into Defi. Quality is excellent and they look really cool as well. But be ready to spend a pretty penny.

91silviak's, youve already been told before that you're not supposed to be posting in different languages, and ive personally seen you typing in japanese in 5 or more threads in the past few hours.

Haven't found any rust at all yet, i've had it up in the air a couple times, but it might be a different story once i start pulling things off. The hatch was rusty it had the styrofoam special but i replaced it. I guess that they aren't absolutely necessary, but i got a nice deal on them and decided what the hell, they'll look better under my rims and i do plan on tracking it as often as possible, but im not sure i would call it 'extensive'. I live in southside off of Hull St like 10 mins from the city. Know of any tracks around here? I know of a bunch of ghey oval-nascar tracks and a strip in dinwiddie, but nowhere to drift. Any suggestions?

Heh thats funny, cause Selene got named after the greek goddess of the moon. Thanks =)
tramp_drift240 wrote:OP, real clean hatch. im about to be moving back to virginia, perhaps i can assist in whatever needs done.
Yeah man that would be sweet, i'm planning on doing(attempting) everything myself except for things i know ill fail (welding+painting, never tried either) but im sure i'll run into some trouble somewhere along the way ill keep that in mind. What part of VA you coming to?

Thanks for the words all, she is a great car for having so many miles, and there will only be more greatness to come. Watching other builds on here (wc, mtrench, idahotuner, etc.) definitely inspired me to do something with her, so i'll take my time and hopefull she will turn out half as good as those guys'.

Heh, mission accomplished, it even sounded like something a japanese person would say lol. ^^ No offense 91SilviaK but if you post japanese text on an american forum, they're going to guess at what it says, and probably be far off from what you meant, so it'd be easier for us to understand if you post in english, but they do look cooler than boring american letters. Whatever you said i appreciate the comment heh.
Ghast wrote:Where do you sleep with all the parts everywhere? I LOVE IT!
Its actually really annoying heh i have to move the rota's off my futon to sleep at night and then back on my bed in the morning heh. I'll probably start keeping some parts at my girlfriends house cause i have more coming too and no room.
