I am thinking to get 91-93 240SX for daily driver and my weekend drift car:D Just want to know how reliable are those cars with the stock KA engines? Would it cost a lot on maintenance?

Is it okay to buy a 240SX with a lot milages? cuz I found couple of them for under $3000 but with 150k+miles.......I probably wouldn't be able to do the swap till next year so I just need a reliable transportation. Please give me some advices!!

Thanks,Daniel

u will have to do the scheduled maintenence 9 times of 10 since people neglect it. but if u do that, the only prob ive seen is the timing chain, but if u take care of it when its supposed to be done then it shouldnt be a problem

It was all good and well up until you asked for our "advices." I had high hopes for you.

I bought my 91 with 138k on it. I'm just turning over 196k and she still pulls stronger than any other car I've owned and still has perferct compression, no leaks. You've got to keep your eye open for a well-maintained car- one-owners are the best with high miles usually.Naturally, though, parts are going to wear out, but that's true with any high mileage car. But that can be a plus if you're planning on modding it, wait until parts wear down- then you HAVE to replace them!

I bought my car with 155k on it and it's got 165k right now. It was a one owner car and they maintained there cars very well. So yeah if you find a good one, I'd say it would be very reliable.
