They're uncommon but definitely not rare.

They are uncommon. The slicktop is rarer than the 'vert.

Try looking here:

http://www.az-zbum.com/cgi-bin/z32registry.pl

I found a total of 3846 Convertibles listed from '93 - '96.

According to this list, mine is one of four from '96 in Ultr-Red, 5-Speed, California Emmissions. Now, I know this is a "registration" list, so there may be many more that are simply not registered (?). The site claims to be official Nissan records though.

they are hard to come by in the 5 speed, I looked at that web sit for my black 1996 twin turbo in 5 speed and none ware found. I doubt that I have the only black 96 5 speed twin in the country, so I don't think that form is accurate

Yes. It was an absolute base model N/A only Z32. They sold very few here because most everyone wanted t-tops and the slicktops were not popular.

You are not kidding dude I had 3 slick tops throughout the years and they ware much harder to sell than the T Tops. But lately people have been coming around and asking for them, and they are willing to pay the money to.

But, per your other thread, I thought that we agreed that the only TT/Slit-Tops were conversions. If that is true, the site IS correct.

My Soft Top is a 5-Speed.

Yeah, slicktops are cool, but cobalt green vert, 5 spd, has been on my 'list' of cars to own for quite some time. Jared will tell you this because we talk about it when i'm tired of hearing about hardtop cars.

We are talking about tow deferent Z's in the other thread. But going back to your car it's a very hard car to find convertible 5 speed are very uncommon. I have been in the business for a few years now and I've only seen a hand full of manual convertibles. It is a find, so enjoy it and take care of it. Maybe in the future you can slap a TT in it

I confused your post with the 1996 TT post...

Total production of convertables I'm unsure of. In 1995 there were 151 automatics and 139 manual convertables produced.

just thought I'd add in that I just picked up a '93 manual convertible only thing is it's salvaged, ... the radiator & fan & belts are off, so I got to find somebody to put them back together and hopefully it runs good, ... right now it's registered out of California, but hopefully soon I'll get it registered out of Arizona, instead
