Each time I start my 2019 Rogue, the climate control fan runs for about 5 seconds, even if the climate control system is off. This happened after I bought the car last summer, and it continued into November, then it stopped happening for several months. Now it's happening again, which makes me wonder if it's somehow related to the outside temperature. (I live near Portland, Oregon, so the temperatures are not extreme.) I find this behavior very annoying, and I want to prevent the fan from running automatically when I start the car. Does anybody know how I can achieve that?

Hello

I believe that you can not stop this as it is automatic.

The 2019 Nissan Rogue has available remote start with Intelligent Climate Control. Remote Start comes standard on every trim of the 2019 Nissan Rogue except for the base trim.

This is the closest thing I could find in the 2019 Owners Manual. It's purging warm/hot air from the system.
When the outside and interior cabin
temperatures are moderate to high, the
intake setting may default to turn off air
re-circulation to allow fresh air into the
passenger compartment. You may notice
air flow from the foot mode, bi-level
mode, or side demist vent outlets for a
maximum of 15 seconds. This may occur
when previous climate setting was
system off. This is not a malfunction.
After the initial warm air is expelled, the
intake will return to automatic control,
air flow outlet will return to previous settings,
and operation will continue normally.
To exit, press any climate control
button.
It would seem it's designed to work that way, so there's no hack to stop it.

I had seen that in the manual, but I didn't think it would apply when temperatures were in the low 70s. I guess that would qualify as "moderate," though. I'll have to pay closer attention to the temperature when the fan turns on, because in recent days it hasn't been doing it. We'll see what happens when it gets warmer again.

Thanks for reminding me about this passage in the manual.
