i got my permit on my 16th birthday, got my D class license on the first try with a perfect score. i then crashed my first car 12 days later while racing on the highway. i got my CDL B on my 18th birthday, and ive been licensed to 33,000 lbs ever since.

Got my permit October 1995 when I was 15 and my driver's license may 5th 1996(i was sick for 2 months or i'd have gotten it on my birthday)

It was also a week after my grandpa died. So was bad times

That's almost exactly the same as me. I lived in NY, had to be 16 for both permit and license. Turned 16 in late December 1992, got my permit in April 1993, and got my license and bought my first car in October 1993.

On my 16th birthday. youngest allowed and my full 3 months later with the help of Young Drivers. bought my car 5 days before i got my full and drove it home that night... perents wernt impressed

Got my permit the day I turned 16, got my license 4 months after my sixteenth birthday to the day. (which is CT's minimum amount of time needed to have a permit before a license). Having a license meant so much to me and I couldn't wait to get it that I can't imagine 17/18 year olds who still don't even have their permits!

All I know, is as soon as I got my license, I would find absolutely any excuse I could, to go driving. At the time I was restricted to an 86' Pontiac Grand Am 2dr Automatic w/ 180k miles on it(Trashed too) but I didn't care. I think I was one of the first of my friends to actually start driving to school regularly. What a big deal it was. It's not quite the same now for me, but then again that's with driving my 96' chevy 4x4. I take every opportunity handed to me to drive a stick shift though(especially if it's RWD). It's like getting my license all over again.

i bought my o2 altima in december of o1 when i was 15, then by oct o2 (my b day) i got my license, o, got my permit the day i turned 15, and so far in a lil over 1 yera, ive got 24k on my altima
