My 500 is 7 years old and has 141k on it. Age has never been an issue to me with a vehicle though as long as it's reliable, been well maintained and isn't a rolling pile of garbage. I have my days i'd love to have something newer, but i've learned my lesson with upgrading often, especially with a daily driver. It's just not worth it as long as the vehicle is solid. I've put 13k miles on my car since last November and all it's asked for in return is oil changes, front brakes, and some minor A/C work.

Now we did just buy a new vehicle for the wife, but there were good reasons for that and we bought it knowing that it will have to be driven past 100k miles.

^I was just being sarcastic (I know sarcasm doesn't travel well through a keyboard), to each his/her own, I love the bugeye because I have a huge history with them.

HOW DARE YOU!?!?!?! bugeyes are the best looking Impreza since the 22B!

Given a choice between a blobeye and a bugeye. I'd totally take the latter. The blob-eye is like plain toast and a weak cup of tea compared to the other two. The new hatches have grown on me but nothing compares to a classic Impreza IMHO :P

Then you should move. To where "winter car care" is a non-issue and neither is rust. :yesnod
It's in the works. :)

Methinks she might feel differently about the northeast if she moved away from her present location. I lived in her area for a year before escaping. But the northeast overall is awesome for us car folks.

Nope and nope. :P

my DD right now is a 85 Maxima SE with 206k I have owned her for about 6 years now, recently put coil overs all the way around along with some other work, that was needed after a guy hit me not looking where he was going. Just picked up a 80 200sx hatchback, which I'm currently working on getting to running, needed a new fuel pump (had been parked for 15 years), parts I'm waiting on should be here today so I will see if she runs good this weekend i'm hoping. she has 120k on her, if she runs good I will have to decide which one I build first.
