Never messed with turbo'd cars before, but looking at getting my second Z32, but this time a TT..

How much of a TT's life is spent in the shop compared to an NA?

It's just as reliable, but like any vehicle it's past treatment will determine how much it's future is in the shop....or at least how much work there will be to get it to a reliable level.

Short of an alternator and general maintenance, mine has never broken down in the last 5 years.

Mine as never broke down in the last 2 years... But spends a fair amount of time in the shop doing maintenance that previous owners forgot...

Also solving small issues (prob things that the previous owner could live with but I can't).

As many already said in posts like this: it is a very reliable car, just a b**** to work with because the lack of space.
