Back then, posting something on the Internet involved a sense of occasion. You elevated your language because you were in this cool new place and you didn't want to embarass yourself.

Even the Prodigy bulletin boards were relatively coherent and well written.

I can't swim or surf, and I dont smoke weed...but there's still sooooooo much to do out here that it's just insane. Whenever I visit Indianapolis, I get bored and wonder what the heck to do. I wanna go outside and walk around but the weather always seems to be f*** up whenever I go there.

The only thing that keeps me occupied out there is my family and the Pacers. Out here there's a lot more open minded cool people, and lots of places to visit and sightsee (even if you've lived here 15 years). Get tired or NorCal? Drive down to SoCal, and vice versa. Get tired of Cali and Vegas is a 1 hour flight away...

I didn't say surfers, I said surf. We definatly have some of the best surf in the continental US, as well as some of the best surfers. There is good surf and good surfers to be found anywhere there is ocean though, just have to look harder in most places.

Yeah, but we got more guns.

Not saying we are better, but we dont have Cali envy. We got nearly everything you got, and we've had it longer. Great mountains, beaches, and woodlands. Your surfing is better, but surfers get attacked by sharks. We got plenty of race tracks. We got a good football team. I even understand we have a basketball team again, not sure why thou.

We had the gold rush before Cali. And you guys got better weather, but you have to put up with earth quakes. You got the bad air (smog), and we are getting the bad air, so we are right there with you on that. At least you had that one first.

I've only felt one and I didn't even know if it was an earthquake or just a big truck passing by. I'll take an earthquake any day over a hurricaine or tornado.

Very, very good point.

Though I would definitely LIKE to...but NICO support's a bit thin in this area. There are about three of us. Maybe five.

Fred, we are way past making fun of him now.

And s13, More guns = +100. The only problaem is you Cali people dont know about the true meaning of gun control, hitting your target. Guns prevent crime, not cause it. If yall shot more idiot criminals out there, you would be way better off.

Darn, do I sound like a right wing gun nut??? Okay, just wanted to make sure.

Mr1der, I went from having a shaved head, to letting my hair grow back out. I figure I will let it get around shoulder length. I'm from North Carolina, I can look like a red neck if I want.

Damn straight.

Nobody's robbing me. Not without several .45 ACP rounds going in them first. If they still want to take something after that, they're welcome to it.

LOL!

I wont even go there, I've already typed my paper on gun control

Why don't we email each other our thesis'

And don't synonymize Socal with California, you are forgetting parts like Santa Cruz (norcal) which isn't too bad. Earthquakes > Hurricanes taking people away whilst laying on the beach. I'm not saying we're better, but I don't think you would be complaining much if you were born in Cali.

Oh and we're bigger than you too:

San Francisco is too goddamn cold.

And the midwest is better. No earthquakes, no hurricanes, and nothing to do.... wait... crap.

LOL! SF is to damn cold? I don't remember EVER having snow in SF To cold to wear shorts and a tshirt EVERY day... yes, but there are alot of nice warm days there too. Norcal and Socal really should be two different states, they are soooo different. Norcal is way more laid back, Socal is far to hype on itself.

It's not snow cold but it's colder because of the ocean blowing in. At least when I went there in the middle of summer it was freezing for the whole time I was there. And Mark Twain once said "my coldest winter ever was the summer I spent in San Francisco."

Oh S13, unlike the rest of the non Cali peeps, I have lived in California. It truely is a great state, but you have a bunch of idiots out there. We do too, but your population is greater than ours, so your idiots are more pronounced. Maybe it was just where we were at, but everyone was just mean. God help you for stricking up a conversation with someone you dont know, in the check out of the grocery store.

I have lived in Stockton California, Rock Springs Wyoming, and Rome Georgia. Born here in the ole north state. I was raised here, so it is natural that I would like it best.

And my ideals on gun control is probally a far cry from yours. Not saying you sound like a whinny butt liberal sissy or anything. I spent my entire adult life working communications in law enforcement. I have a good appreciations for fire arms. Not to mention, if you dont know how to shoot a gun by the time your 13 here in the southeast, then your parents havent been doing their job.

Remember it isnt the guns fault it was used in a crime. The idiot owner needs to be blamed. We have plenty of laws to govern firearms. They just arent enforced very well. Illegal sales is the main problem I see (as far as non licensed people buying them), and people obtaining a firearm with out proper training on its use, care, storage, and legal liabilty.

Anyway....

I spent some time in SF and Berkeley a few years back. BART wasnt bad, but the place was pretty s*** for people who love driving. The crazies are in mass quantities. Most are harmless, except the ones that vote.

Its a pretty interesting place, which makes it great to visit, but I like being able to fly home when I get sick of it.

You can't host much of a meet if you don't announce it in English!

There's probably a total of four people in St Louis who are NICO members. I've tried St Louis Roll Call threads multiple times with responses from the same two people: me and... wait, make that one.

I'm trying to figure out why tornados only attack the neighborhoods where household incomes are below $20k/yr.
