Wow man that is pretty screwed up. Not only with the nitrous aspect, but just the way he wires are run be it for nitrous or a stereo it looks like a fire hazard. Some people really shouldn't mod their car I suppose.

This leads me to a question about installs. How difficult is a CAI install? and who's done it and would know of say... a step by step guide?

HOLY HONDA IN MY DRIVEWAY! that is weapons grade stupidity. I would fill that fool's bottle in a heartbeat as long as he agreed to run it at the track, against the timers(no opposing car) in the rain with no helmet and seatbelt and he gives me his girlfreinds number. Think of it as natural selection.

Now thats not always true, a friend of mine used to have very nice newer cobra. He had a substantial(sp?) amount invest and making a good amount of power(not sure on specs) but still looked great and clean. Unfortunately he couldn't afford the payments or noise violations anymore and wound up trading it in on an 03 V Spec(which was later run off the road by a semi). Its only the "wannabe" racers that, as with any car market, make a bad name for themselves and their cars.

I've always wanted a 5.0. I did see one of the SC'ed '03 cobras run at IRP when I was there. Ran a 12.5 with just exhaust. That's fast.

But almost always, Whenever I see a ford, I’m wondering why did the person buy it? I guess they like fixing their car every day, or want to loose a giant chunk of money when they resell it or want to suffer injury or die in a car crash, or they just like cheap interior…so I’ll make the generalization that all ford owners are as dumb as clay.

Funny, we owned a Ford F150 for well over a 100,000 miles and despite me driving it occasionally the only bad thing about that truck was it's affinity for brake pads, there was NEVER a major mechanical problem with it. Not everything Ford, Chevy or many other manufacturers make is worthless as you seem to think. Granted ford has put out some ****ty cars, but what manufacturer hasn't? I'm sure even Nissan has some lemons sometimes.

Why are people so ignorant (not specified in any way) as to think that just because *some* people do stupid stuff to their car, that *ALL* the owners of that type of car are as stupid as the first guy?

Because it is the thing to do now I guess.......:rolleyes I wonder the same thing. Do people think I am a ricer with my Honda civic??? It has rims and intake and exhaust. Then I realize...who gives a **** what anyone thinks. I know what I am and what I am not....if I wanna put red neons under my car (which I dont, just saying) or put checkered flags on my....Altima like it is winning MAD races (a 2nd gen at that...LOL and I can laugh because I had two):rolleyes well then that is my peragotive. I agree that thre are some Fors that have that reputation. I almost bougth an expidition uintil Iread that a few peoples transmission went out at 40-50K miles but still that doesnt make peopel who drive fords..."dumb as clay"..this coming from a self proclaimed ricer.....bwahahahahahahahaha:confused:

It's like if people came to me and called me a ricer for driving a SE 2.0 instead of an SE-R (or Spec V for that matter), you can't help what car you get sometimes, and my baby's about to get a little cold-air boost (YEE! I can't wait til Friday!). I had second thoughts about buying an AEM, but then I realized that a good intake is a good intake, even if all the Hondas run them too.

More BAD examples of Mustangs and Civics are seen, because they make/sell more of them.

There is no magical way to prevent "idiots" from buying any car and doing something stupid to it, unless it was priced too high... wait, wait, wait that won't work either. I forgot about this...http://www.nissaninfiniticlub....42357

I think most people consider ricers to be the people who don't care to learn about the cars, but only care for the attention and "fake respect" they get because of the rims, body kit, and neons they get put on thier cars. Atleast that's what I consider a ricer. A "poser" car enthusiast. I know I have read posts of people saying something about "riced out cars", but a lot of the things that make them riced out in thier ignorant eyes I also like.

It all depends on the driver.

Well I bought mine(98 Escort ZX2) because it was the only american car I would drive that I could afford(still went for a test run in a stealth). Aside from having to have the tie-rod ends replaced because of the sh**** roads around here, it hasn't had any mechanical problems. Personally I don't think I am "as dumb as clay" and I am sure the other ford owners on the board don't think they are either. As for fords in a crash I can't say, don't plan to crash, but the 03 Cavalier the took the front end off my old 240 just got some scratches and paint on the bumper, the fender bent and the air bags cracked the windshield....my 240 was totalled. If I find them I will put the pics up sometime.
