I didn't know there was "none" racing pads available as the AP BBK are racing brakes. Doesn't make sense. If you're going to go with the none racing pads, might as well NOT do the upgrade...just buy those cheap ebay caliper covers to give you the look
To the OP, at break in you'll here a lot of squealing and grinding No worries though, that's just the brake pads "bedding" in. After that they quite down a lot. Once in a while they will start to squeal with normal driving. This is because the pads develop a "glaze" on the pads themselves. The simplest way to remedy that is to go find a stretch of road that you can easily go 60 or so MPH and slam on the brakes. This action will burn off the glazing. Do this 2 - 3 times. The trick here is NOT come to a complete stop. Doing so will concentrate the heat from the pads onto a specific area of the rotor there by increasing the chances of warping. Not good. I'll have my BBK for almost 1 yr in October and so far, it was well worth the money! Hope that helps
BTW, make sure you upgrade your brake lines to SS and use DOT4 or 5 brake fluid too
