lol ya know the new 500hp, $100,000 viper doesn't have cup holders either.

Just do I what I do, turn the little change holder thing into a cup holder. You have to have a small cup and be careful when you shift but hey, it works :D

well you could always drink your coffee before you drive around, that way there's less distraction for you while your driving meaning you will potentially be a safer driver on your way to work. I'm relating drinking hot coffee while driving to like talking on the cell phone, brushing your teeth, whatever you do while you drive. DONT DO IT! second option, put coffee in a thermos and drink it when you get to work, cuz it will be in a thermos and it will still be piping hot :)

Speaking of thermos's, how does it keep things both hot AND cold?

(god i hope you realise im joking!)

I agree with SWIFT_DRIFT. Why would you want anything (like a car stereo) getting in the way of enjoying the pleasure of driving one of Japan's elite sports coupes? Its absurd!

Haha (think Nelson from the Simpsons) S14s have cup holders and S13s don't.

I never knew that. They should make little Recaro cup holder race seats, like they do for cell phones.

my ashtray was broken when I got the car :(

actually.. my second 240 didn't have one at all.. good thing I still had my wrecked 91 to steal it from :)

but with the ashtray out, makes for a good cup holder.. just not anything too big.

have you considered a beer hat?

actually, i noticed early on the problem of the cup holder....my maximas had the same problem. in the maxima i bent and shaped some flat aluminum stock and bolted it in the armrest to where it would still close and you could put one of those BMF cupholders that are adjustable....works great. for the TWO FOE i think i am gonna rob a cupholder from a junkyard car and cut out the round part, then do a little fiberglass pour and mold it in to the console where the ashtray belongs. if it keeps raining tomorrow, i might have some pics to you sooner than i planned. seeing as how i blew my motor tonight, i don't have much else to do until the SR20det fund grows a little more.

I definitley think my 240sx needs a cup holder! It's a 95 s14, but doesn't have one. I mean, come on, they sort of already tried to put a cup holder in the console, with that big ugly rectangular cutout, but it serves no damn purpose except for change...do you think it did have one but was removed? I like to drink coffee on the way to school, work, etc, and it is a pain in the *** to make sure the cup doesn't spill while you are shifting, turning, etc.MARC

this post prompted me to install my own ghetto cup holder, made out of a neon pink "fox heating cup" that is just big enough to fit my coffee mug, with a slit cut in the side for the mug handle, glued to the bottom of that rectangular cutout---sure it aint pretty, but it does what its supposed to!
