Dood, 240's are still HOT right now - have been for the past several years or so.
KBB value has nothing on it. That car will sell for AT LEAST 1900. Especially since it's only 130k & 5 speed.
And when you say jdm dual fixed headlights w/ different fenders - I'm guessing s13 silvia front end conversion. If that is the case, this car will sell for at least 2400.
I don't care if the clutch is gone, that's not a concern for most ppl since they replace it w/ their fav heavy duty clutch anyway.
1) 240's are selling for above KBB regardless for the past few years, right now, and until they fade out (which won't likely be soon).
2) It's a 5 speed, has 130k (for an 89 that is spectacular)
3) Your in SoCal, these things sell like hot cakes
I personally wouldn't buy that car or pay much for it since I already have one . However, I know there are plenty of people who will buy it.
Case example:
Almost a year ago, I got these wide fenders off this guy in Mission Viejo. His car was no longer working (timing chain snapped - "thinks" that's all that was wrong) - car sold w/ no fenders (cuz I got them) & no front bumper (from what I remember) a not very good fitting cf hood, some minor suspension mods & rims, + non running for $1800.
Most likely, if this guy/girl is selling his/her 240, he or she will know what it's worth (above kbb value) or has found out as a result of putting it up and getting a billion phone calls.
I was going to buy a 2nd project for fun 240 a couple months back that I saw posted on craigslist for under $1k, I called (2 hours after it was posted) - no answer from the guy, probably got a billion zillion calls - car was already sold most likely, and probably for way more than $1k.
