hey guysI found a car. someone's selling it,how much 'd you pay for this car

1989 coupe s13 5-speed (of course, ka24e)130000mile, good compression pretty clean interiorpower window, sunroof, radio, air, heat, mirror, and lights works fineneeds new paint job (no more clear cot left)has jdm dual-s13 fixed head lights with different color fendersnees new hood and bumper

KBB says $1900, but i don't trust it anymore after it priced Infiniti Q45 for 700 bucks. wft...

I think I would pay $800 for s13? Is is too much or too low?

That's a steal IMO.Hood easy to get.Bumper easy to get as well.No more than what, 60 at the jukyard?I paid 600 for my shell that had a blown ka24e.Your getting one that runs and low mileage with full accesories and heat/ac. If you odn't get it there is tons of other member who I know would jump on it. Only issue is it being SOHC because some prefer DOHC but SOHC holds it ground against DOHC any day of the week,

Dood, 240's are still HOT right now - have been for the past several years or so.

KBB value has nothing on it. That car will sell for AT LEAST 1900. Especially since it's only 130k & 5 speed.

And when you say jdm dual fixed headlights w/ different fenders - I'm guessing s13 silvia front end conversion. If that is the case, this car will sell for at least 2400.

I don't care if the clutch is gone, that's not a concern for most ppl since they replace it w/ their fav heavy duty clutch anyway.

1) 240's are selling for above KBB regardless for the past few years, right now, and until they fade out (which won't likely be soon).

2) It's a 5 speed, has 130k (for an 89 that is spectacular)

3) Your in SoCal, these things sell like hot cakes

I personally wouldn't buy that car or pay much for it since I already have one . However, I know there are plenty of people who will buy it.

Case example:

Almost a year ago, I got these wide fenders off this guy in Mission Viejo. His car was no longer working (timing chain snapped - "thinks" that's all that was wrong) - car sold w/ no fenders (cuz I got them) & no front bumper (from what I remember) a not very good fitting cf hood, some minor suspension mods & rims, + non running for $1800.

Most likely, if this guy/girl is selling his/her 240, he or she will know what it's worth (above kbb value) or has found out as a result of putting it up and getting a billion phone calls.

I was going to buy a 2nd project for fun 240 a couple months back that I saw posted on craigslist for under $1k, I called (2 hours after it was posted) - no answer from the guy, probably got a billion zillion calls - car was already sold most likely, and probably for way more than $1k.

The pre-onwer was mid-40 years old American. Don't know anything about s13's potensial. He had many junk cars, so he just wanted to get rid of one****ed up paint that he didsurprisingly blown motor at 145000milelot's of electronic problemsthe car wasn't water/rain proof

Except new paint job, it costed me $800 to make it run perfectly. (I mean, easy-6000 rpm.) And water/rain proof.

I was seaching for s13 for about 2 months, i finally found what i wanted.Early bird deserve cheap price.

well, you see its all about value in YOUR eyes. I paid 5800 for my mint 96 zenki(would have paid more, but no one else bidded against me on ebay). Everyone says they would only give 4k for my car, but they aren't nissan guys nor do they understand how hot these cars are, especially her in FL! But anyway, that is totally up to you. I would think anywhere from 1k-3k, depending on the silvia conversion. The clutch is no big deal at all. And thats killer low miles for an 89! I think thats a steal and you should go for it. I hope I helped.

I wouldn't pay no more than 1200 if you really wanted it. I picked up an auto coupe a few months ago with 78K for under $1000.

240's arent THAT desireable. I two months ago I was cruising the lots for 240's, almost every single one had one that was in decent condition between 1-1.5k.Then I found a lot that had a 90 240 with only 130k for 1200. But the front end was a different color so I know some would be drifter probably totally smashed it and the frame was probably bent, so I picked up a 92 240 convertible with 150k that was in great condition aside from some interior work that needs to be done, and a 1986 200sx turbo with 80,000 miles on it for $1000 each.240's may still be hot, but its not hard to find ones that arent over priced.

um...... yeah 1200 sounds good but i can't believe my Q45 priced 700 bucks with running condition. Of course more options and twice more power.

KBB sucks.
