Saw this on CL, the poster has no price info- What do you think its worth, what would you offer?
For Sale: Nissan 240sx.

The car will start up and run but around 3grand it bogs/idles funny and im not sure why it is doing this due to the lack of knowledge of a Nissan if you could help me fix this problem i would appreciate it.
It does have a rebuilt motor in it, which is a KA24DE. After the motor got put it its has only been driven roughly 1000 miles.

5-speed
Does have a 7 color underglow kit.
converted from a 4 lug tire to a 5 lug.
Lowered.
The front bumper is cracked and will need some body work but dont worry there is no rust.
Im sure i missed some things taht you want to know so let me know and ill get back to you asap.

AS OF RIGHT NOW IM JUST LOOKING TO SEE WAT I CAN GET FOR THIS!!!
If i like what you have to offer maybe we can work something out.
Please text me at 620-680-1863, NO low offers or spammers plz. Thanks!!

Sounds like all it needs is a MAF sensor, I have on for sale too. $2000 sounds reasonable

I would offer them 500. Just because they are asking for offers with no starting place then stating no low offers. I am an a** though.

yeah $2000 for a s*** running S13.5 isn't bad. The body looks pretty clean. Depending on actual condition of the chassis... its got potential.

Yeah, most likely they think the body kit and front conversion adds value to the car. Please explain to them before you make them an offer that they devalued the car. A rebuilt motor also sounds nice, but who rebuilt it, them? Are they certified mechanics? If not, they may have done something wrong, which would create the current problem. Though MAF is a good place to start.

Honestly, I wouldn't may more than $1,500 for it. Start low, work you're way up to 1,200. I doubt they'd take 500, and you don't want to insult them either. And that is coming from someone who spent 5000 dollars on a stock 240SX 5 years ago. :P

PS: There is ALWAYS rust on a 240SX. ALWAYS. Just because you cannot see it doesn't mean it's not there.

Not all 240s have rust. Mine doesn't and I just parted a zenki and it had no rust anywhere.

Lol @ the rust comment. I guess he's never been to the Southwest or Southern California.

I wouldn't personally even want the car unless I know for sure I'm really going to tear into it. It's really just a shell. Chances are the motor is bad and that body kit is atrocious. The only thing in fair condition seems to be the interior.

I personally wouldn't pay more than around $1500 depending on how straight the body is. If it's ever been in a wreck and you can see where they bondo'ed, I'd walk away immediately.
