how much would you shell out for a:
-93 S13 hatch, SE-5 speed-143,xxx miles on chasis, 95,xxx on newer motor ('93 KA24DE)-decent paint, except the front is a different color white from an aborted paint job-KYB AGX Adj. Shocks-Ebach Pro-Kits-no stereo, and little pocket part missing-some cheap no name rims-SMALL amount of rust under the spoiler-seat covers (donno whats underneath) - ugly red color-guy definetly auto-xed it... he's part of a local league
I think that's about it. The car looks pretty decent all together, and its on the East Coast. How much do you guys think it's worth? I'm aware of KBB value, but the mods/newer motor/problems sorta change it around... HOW MUCH!?

FIRST RUST PROBLEM:

you can sorta see how the nose there is a flat white-- like the 300zx white color... he decided against doing the paint job, he said.... this might mean it was in an accident and he's covering it up, right?

simply based on what i see and what i read, i wouldn't give the slum lord any more than 1150. but maybe i am just cheap.i also have rust under my spoiler and it rusted through metal, now i have a small hole in my trunk and when it rains, the water goes under the spoiler and into my spare compartment. you should probably take off the spoiler and see how bad the rust is first.
Well personally I would only pay about 11-1300 for the car if there are no other problems especially under the hood. The rust there at the weld in the engine bay near the strut top looks like its from inside the wheel well and should'nt be too difficult to manage. The rust though inside the wing is bad and will be rather difficult to get to meaning you need to pull the trunk lid and inspect it also pulling off the wing and replacing all the bolts and alot of scrubbing there too.
If you do take the car hopefully for no more than 1000 you can guarentee about 500 minimum to fix any problems and if the rust is bad under the wing a 100 for a new trunk lid. But over all not too bad for a 10 year old car. Go for it.

I'm in the same situation as FizNat. I found a 1993 240sx with 133k miles and 40k mile on new clutch. The paint is a faded black with a few small dings on the body, but no rust is visible. There is no spoiler so I don't have to worry about trunk rust. the interior is really good. the car runs and drives real good. It is the KA24DE twin cam motor. No power options and seller is the original owner and has all documentation. New brakes. A/C works great. Very small spider cracks in the windshield. 4-wheel disc brakes. The car was maintained very well and doesn't seem to have been abused.
The seller is asking $2100. Does anyone think that is a good price? Anything I should look for? Thanks for the help.
