(sorry for the double post, mods... please delete the first one for me?)

how much would you shell out for a:

-93 S13 hatch, SE-5 speed-143,xxx miles on chasis, 95,xxx on newer motor ('93 KA24DE)-decent paint, except the front is a different color white from an aborted paint job-KYB AGX Adj. Shocks-Ebach Pro-Kits-no stereo, and little pocket part missing-some cheap no name rims-SMALL amount of rust under the spoiler-seat covers (donno whats underneath) - ugly red color-guy definetly auto-xed it... he's part of a local league

I think that's about it. The car looks pretty decent all together, and its on the East Coast. How much do you guys think it's worth? I'm aware of KBB value, but the mods/newer motor/problems sorta change it around... HOW MUCH!?

Ok here's pics of the car, and the rust I'm worried about. I need your help with this guys, I'm really seriously considering buying it...

FIRST RUST PROBLEM:

kinda in a weird place... could be hard to fix, and if it grows who knows, right?

SECOND RUST PROBLEM:

just a little bit under the spoiler...

PAINT PROBLEM:

you can sorta see how the nose there is a flat white-- like the 300zx white color... he decided against doing the paint job, he said.... this might mean it was in an accident and he's covering it up, right?

...the spots on the hood is bird crap

....watcha guys think? how much is it worth? I've got more pics...

mine was in the same condition when i bought it. Had the same rust on the spoiler and engine bay. it still had a radio and stock alloys. Paid 1400 with 174K. did the auto to manual conversion for 275 total.

well blue book for the car (say if you avg the miles together for 120k and "fair" condition) is $2,700- and that doesnt include the suspension on there... so I dont think he's going to be jumping at any $2000 offers...

rust is a pain in the ***. i bought my notchback with 82k for $3700, the car was immaculate the paint is very good except for the surface rust under the passenger door/rear fender well/spots on the roof and around the gas door (that later cracked and peeled). so far i've fixed the rust and kept it from spreading. but rust is a *****. it's no fun. but the pictures you've posted look a lot easier to fix than mine were.$2000 is way too much in my opinion. keep searching! :D

if you can take it to a body shop see how much it would be to fix event ho that spot looks like it would be a pain. then take that amount and subtract from 2000

well going to a paint shop they will charge a high amount. judging by the photos that rust looks a lot easier to take care of than mine. just sand them good, prime it, and get a can of 326 plastikote Nissan Super White. it looks matches good so far on my car. in reality, i'd be more concerned about the supposedly *newer* engine and the history of the vehicle. i.e. how many owners, records (if any)

I think it was $4000 he settled on. He told me all the stuff it had he was like 'its a $6000 value' :rolleyes. Even with all the stuff he shouldn't pay more then $3000. I forgot that it was autocrossed and that the paint didnt match...

If I remember correctly for that price it includes, springs, shocks, N1 cat back, K&N filter, head unit, subs/amp, ugly seat covers, and a ricey custum short shifter.

Oh well, he did like that car alot, and really wants a 240sx really bad, and its his money. He said the car looks ALOT better in person, so you never know. Remember, price is in the eye of the beholder.

bleh oh well, thanks guys. I talked to the seller today and he apologised and all that... he said he's opening up a parts shop and that he'd hook me up with discounted parts when it opens in return for my time.

haha, it'd be nice if that happens (shaaady), but I'm not standin on my head...
