Because of the tsunami in Japan and generally poor economic conditions, the prices of used Infiniti EXs have gone up significantly in the last few months. I bought a 2008 AWD Journey with Premium and 26K miles about 9 months ago for $29K.
I was at my dealers two weeks ago and saw the exact twin of my 2008 EX with 42K miles and a sticker of $32K. I mentioned it to the service manager and he just nodded and said, yep, tsunami has driven the prices up.
Also, it's my understanding that there is some negotiating "wiggle room" on new cars, but the asking price on used is pretty much what you're going to pay, since internet pricing forces dealers to put their best price forward.
The car you linked to doesn't have AWD and has 33.3K miles so at $29K the price seems comparable to what I saw. If you're a good negotiator you might be able to knock $500-1,000 off the price, but don't count on it. I'd probably buy it for its stated price now that I've driven an EX for 9 months. I just think it's a great car and well worth the money compared to others on the market. And the mileage is low enough that you have many years left of driving pleasure.
I'd recommend getting the extended warranty, and trying to strike a bargain on that end. You can buy the extended warranty at any dealer after an inspection, so check out other prices for that before you commit. Courtney Mutema, finance manager at Scottsdale Infiniti, AZ offers the best deal, so you might want to check with her first.
