what is the ECU tuned for? any proof to what it is tuned for?

what are you doing for the transmission?

depends on the harness and milage.

If it's already been modded with components that have either been falsely advertised (mines ecu) or components that have given members holy hell; so bad to the point that they abandoned those components (ie cometic hg), you have to start wondering are you gonna have issues as well. But price-wise $1300-$1500 and that's only if the engine is rebuilt and passes my strict level of inspection. If those parts are just upgrades with no rebuild, deduct $300.

I would probably try to find one without a harness and just rebuild it and run a stand alone. It probably wouldn't end up costing a whole lot more, what with not having to pay for the uncut harness, ecu, coils, MAF, CAS, etc.

going mega squirt and not working about harness or ECU is probably best bang for your buck..... I spend way more that what a mega squirt setup is for my ECU(just a stock ECU) and then all the time splicing the KA and making a CA harness from odds and ends was a real *****.

I do agree I saw that post and would have jumped on it if I had the time and money.

a megasquirt kit costs what 130 bucks? vs a 200 harness(for a decent one) and 100 for a stock ECU. then another 200-500 bucks for eprom less you know how to burn?

like I said wish I went megasquirt..... hell getting 4 working coils was a real pain in the rear for me.

yeah those mines ecu are a hit and a miss .....most of the time no ones knows wat its tuned for .......like my buddy bought ones .....and its came with a paper stated z32 maf .....higher rev limiter ........raised boost up to 20lbs .......500cc injectors.........speed cut lifted

so we hooked it up .........didnt work with a z32 maf ....checked wiring like 145646456 times ........instead it worked well with the stock ca18det maf.......we ran a gt2510 ....15lbs boost .......went over 8000rpms ...but there was really nothing to see there .......and it ran normally on stock injectors too .......we saw a good 230-250hp from it....and plunged the speedometer needle

conclusion even tho we didnt get everything stated ... it was worth 100 bucks ...we were lucky to get the fuel map down ....higher rpms ........speed cut lifted and higher boost
