This is badass. How much would this seriously cost to do something like that? Not that I'd waste that kinda cash but it would be nice to know.....

$20000>?

It'd probably cost a whole lot more than that... because you'd have to pull the body off the frame, and then find a chromer with a reservoir big enough to do it. It'd be someone very specialized, which always equals big bucks... plus you've got all the teardown costs, etc.

I'm gonna guess more like $60k.

Actually what gives you that look is all the paint removed and the base metal shined up with something and then a clearcoat over it. So I'm not sure how much but can't be that bad.

I've seen that before on a BMW (a picture) I love it!! It probably would cost an arm and a leg though!!

I was REALLY dissapointed that the G37 didn't come in the coulour they had for the prototype... that was a wicked colour too!!

I'm pretty sure that wouldn't work with most cars.. you're thinking of the delorean, which was made of stainless steel... I don't think you can polish regular steel nearly that bright, but I might be wrong.

Can you imagine following him on a sunny day and being blinded by the reflection. I'll bet he has a few problems with that.

Its a special type of paint.

Billy Gibbs of ZZ Top did it to his Cadillac roof on an episode of rides or something like that, it comes out looking pretty nice.

Not only that but chroming a car would add a few hundred pounds and ruin the car.... There was a Sheik than had an Audi A8 made out of silver....yes i typed that correctly...made out of silver....

No I saw this done on a M3 and it was just the base metal shined up with a clearcoat.

I would think there would be legality issues driving a "chromed" car due to reflective surfaces and the sun?
