how much would labor be to perform a rb swap???

Hey guys, I want to get some honest feedback on what you think is a resonable

time frame and cost to perform an rb swap on a 240.

Now that mine is completed and running (minus a leaking water pump issue)

I have had a few local kids inquiring about performing an RB swap and roughly want to know how much.

So far I've come up with charging between 700-800 labor not including the

the conversion of harness by an outside source, fmic or engine and trans plus

custom mounts

So how much would be ok to charge for:

-remove old engine and install rb and trans and mounts.

-Fabricate mounts for intercooler and install fmic

-install and wire dual electric fans

-remove and install engine harness wiring

-fabricate and single 2.5 exhaust system from turbo on.

-relocate battery with cutoff switch

im sure im missing some stuff but this is jist of it.

oh and the side note, it seems a mod might have taken some offense to my sig (either the trolling comment or truck) do any of yall have a promblem with it by any chance?

No idea about how much to charge. Usually when I or anyone I know needs/wants a motorswap it costs a couple of pizzas and some other meals, a bunch of beer (hopefully most of which is consumed after we are done working for the day), and always a bunch of smoke to our friend the motorhead. But, RB's are more one off and require more than just an swapping a working engine that is identical to the one being taken out. However, just make sure anyone who is paying you to do the swap signs a no-fault clause saying you are not responsible for stuff blowing up or not working correctly. Liability is a biznitch.

Also, I have found no offense to your sig everytime I have seen it. In fact, I kinda like the trolling comment, but then again I am not a moderator, nor do I have any affiliation with nicoclub other than believing it is a kick arse place to post ideas and allow the free exhchange of information, for which I thank Greg and all his croonies who do an awesome job providing us with such a forum.
