So this is the first time I have not bought a car from one of the "North American big 3" . I pretty much know how GM pricing works but I have NO clue on what type of discount of MSRP I can expect to see if I push hard at Infiniti. Now, I'm in Canada so that would mean dealing with Infiniti Canada and the Canadian dealer network. Sorry for the newbie question but I did search and didn't find a lot on this. FWIW, I'm looking at a 2006 G35X with premium package, wood package, and 3 coat paint for a total MSRP of C$48,539 frieght and PDI in. Thanks in advance folks .

I've found a great way to get good pricing is to contact the dealer through Infiniti's website. You'll want to contact a dealer with the car you want. Use the webform to do it. A fleet person will likely contact you. They tend to give a great price right from the start. If you can find several similar models ad different dealerships, inquire about all of them. Then start getting them competing against each other's pricing. Let them each bid for your business. Go with the one that is the best deal.

This is what my dad did when he was getting a new car a few years ago and he got a great deal. There were 3 dealers that were competing for the sale.

Infiniti is actually lower than normal, 8% according to LeaseGuide.com. Lexus/Porshe is 13%...

The dealer here at Hilton Head, SC said that they've (Infiniti dealers) been authorized to sell couples for 500 over invoice for the rest of the month

It's to get rid of inventory...maybe Feb was a slow month. You got a good deal for a new car!

Contact the buying service at either carhelpcanada.com (I believe its $50 to join)or carcostcanada.com ($35 for as many as 5 quotes, but they can't gaurantee they can refer you to a dealer for a sale). They can get you a deal below Canadian MSRP and its saves you the headaches of hopping dealers in the GTA.
