so, i know there have been alot of 'what did u get for ur car' threads.. i was wondering, if alot of you did any trades of any sorts.. with neg. equity or just straight up trade plus cash.. i am walking down that road at the moment. and wanted to know. I almost slid toward lookin for a civic, thats how hard its been. .lol but came back to the altima! any stories? as in trade in when buying a new vehicle?

I traded my 2007 Sentra SL with 30000 kms (owned it for a whopping 7 months), added another 10 large and two years onto my finance contract.

My first oil change on the altima, back at the dealership I saw my salesman, He said he sold the sentra to a woman who said "this is a perfect old ladies car". that's just one of the many reasons why I love my coupe.

i traded in my 2001 eclipse GT. something like 60k (i think) on it. they gave me 6500 for it, and i put down another 3000. i'll be paying for this car for the next 5 years of my life but i lover her, so its worth it.

i traded my 2006 honda civic ex paid 18,5 for it and traded for 14! it only had about 20k miles on it. i hated that car though. so we rolled in about a grand. cause we had financed the civic for 5 years. anywho i am so glad we did it. although the lil car did get good gas milage compared to the equinox we kept but hey it was a ugly lil car! lol

I traded in my 2006 chevy aveo. i paid 11k for it 2 years ago and traded for $7k. There was only 12k miles on it and some major hail damage that the dealer didn't noticed because it was night time. so i pocket the $3,000 the insurance gave me and got $7,000 for the trade in from the dealer. $10k for a 06 chevy aveo with hail damage was awesome. I know the Nissan dealership was piss off the next day when they found out about the hail damage.

I traded a 2000 sentra with over 100K miles on it and a leaking ac system, I had just filled it with refrigerant so it was blowing cold air when they appraised it. I still only got 2500 for it, and paid another 2000 down when I got my SE, so I only had to finance 20500. I probably could have sold that sentra outright for more than they gave for it, but it was a lot less hassle this way.

traded in my 03 corolla le with 80k miles on it. the corolla needed a new timing chain (didnt tell them that) the interior was pretty beat up and the car needed to be repainted from clear coat failure. i paid 11500 for that car in 04 and got 6000 for the trade in and paid the rest.

cause i wanted something different and seceretly i was hoping that it would happen, it wasnt bad i got tboned on the driver side while i was going like 30 mph, and the other guy in a ford explorer had a big brush guard and was leaving a stop sign.... i only had a couple scratches on my leg from the window shattering....

Traded in '04 Mazda 3 Sport with 54k miles. Owed 10200 to the bank. Dealership gave me 11500 for it (kbb was 10650 at the time).
