Hi guys, I'm looking to buy a 96 300zx 2+2. First of all is it a good deal for $7000? Clean title, 125,000 miles, AT, cloth interior, small dent on left fender. But it hasn't had the timming chain replaced. How much will this cost me?

It's a belt, not a chain. And the cost at a dealership will probably be between $700-1100 depending on how bad they try to bend you over. Where are you located? There are several knowledgable members on twinturbo.net who can help with maintenance like that. If you go over there and do a search for members in your area you might be able to find someone to help.

Just out of curiousity, why are you guys editing out the website I listed? Someone please send me a pm.

I dont' think the PM is enabled. No one actually went in and edited your post. The word filter is set up to block things like swear words and (apparently) rival sites. I didn't know about the site name filter till you posted though. I think it's funny.

It has never happened before. And it says "edited!" at the end of my post. Dane asked me to help provide some help on here in the 300ZX forum, but I'm having second thoughts now. And I'm not really understanding why tt.net would be considered a "rival site", seeing as it only caters to one specific model of car, but if that's the way you guys wanna have it, then I guess I will bow out and let NICO users find the site and the help available on their own.

Sorry, maybe I was wrong. But I thought it was editing out FA, not tt.net.

I would look for a better deal than that myself. If you are willing to drive or have a car shiped then you can get a better 300xz for that price.
