how much to replace clutch?

how much is it to get your clutch fixed?

I got mine replaced for about 450$ with cost of clutch. But it wasnt a performance clutch, just a generic brand one. Didnt have the money at the time to go all out. If the clutch is worn badly RESURFACE FLYWHEEL! or just get a replacement one. I should have had that done, clutch wore way too fast and I had to get it done again.

how much would it cost if i bought the clutch outside of the shop. i know some places try to charge you for that, and refuse to give a warranty.

Just call up some places and ask them how much they charge for just the labor on replacing a clutch. Then see what they charge for the clutch. Mine was like 4-6 hours of labor, see how much their labor an hour is. And make sure you go to a good place, cheaper isnt always better, you dont want to have to replace your clutch twice.
