Well i have an opportunity to make a little cash. My friend is looking to get an rb20 swap done in his s13, and he will pay me to do the swap for him. I never really looked into having someone do my swap for me, so I don't know what the going rate is.

What would you guys charge for the install?

Depends, your pulling his motor out. Installing a new one. There you can charge him $500 just for that, or charge him $500 in and $500 out. Then your going to have to wire it up. Prob another $300 on top of that. Send the harness out and get it modded by a shop that dose it and have him pay the $300-350. If he brings you a clip thats a disposal of the empty clip when your done. Charge him for that.

I'd charge $600-1,000 if all goes well with my RB20 swap my friend might want me to do one for him, friends just need to provide food, drinks, and maybe pay the heating costs of the garage for a while.

Places here charge $1300 for an RB20 into an S13, but that has a lot to do with shop fees. That includes monuts and exhaust setup. If I were Id charge him around 4-600 plus parts, let him work out what he wants to do ith the mounts/X-member and dump pipe.
