How much tire is too much for you guys? I'm planning on running 225/45/17 in the front and 245/45/17 in the back. If I can squeeze it in I might even run 255/45/17.

So how much is too much? And what sizes are you people running?

On a Yugo that might be too much tire, on an Enzo, maybe not enough :D. What car you gonna try and put this on?

I agree fully, big ol tires rock, unless of course you rub, that's a no no!

or start hanging out past the fender, that looks dumb unless it's a truck, and that still looks goofy with out a lift...

It depends on what wheel you're trying to put it on as well. How wide are they?

...you could try a search in the wheel forum and find a fountain of information ;)

225-16-50 on no-torque-havin CA18DE= 8000 rpm launches to avoid bogging the motor and a 1500-2000rpm drop when they stop spinning and bite the road, ie too much tire:pface

I'm sorry, I've got a 91 240sx with a S13 Redtop inside of it. I'm running on Katana K6's, 17x7. I understand most of the tire issues and whatnot. But I'm just wondering what you people think about how much tire is too much.

unless you are drifting and want the tires to come loose easily and predicably it isn't too much until you run out of room to fit them.
