How much this should cost?

Hello folks,

I have 2006 Sentra 1.8S Special edition. The gaskets near the muffler are gone and the cabin smells of fuel/smoke sometimes. I was informed by the local guy that there are two of those. Replacement will cost about $150 ($15 each for the gasket and rest is labor). Plus the front rotors and brake pads need replacement. That total will be about $320. Both total will be $470. Does that seem fair price?

Because I work on my cars, it's hard to assess what is a fair labour cost, but going from past experiences, that prices isn't way off.

You could also try getting the factory service manual for the car and do the work yourself. Simply make sure you understand the steps before starting.
And have all the necessary tools. As you can see, it can save you hundreds.
